About Dr. Vozza

Dr. Brenda Vozza has provided top-quality care for patients in the East Texas area for over 20 years. She runs a friendly, comprehensive practice at Brookridge Internal Medicine Associates, and is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients.

Dr. Vozza is board-certified in general adult internal medicine and palliative/hospice Care. She completed medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, and trained in general medicine and womens health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Vozza is well-respected by her colleagues as a leading medical professional. She serves as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is currently the President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians. She is also a core faculty member for the residency program at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, as well as chief of staff at Select Specialty Hospital. Dr. Vozza keeps her skills sharp by attending multiple continuing education seminars throughout the year.

Dedicated to inspiring the next generation of doctors to become compassionate and competent medical professionals, Dr. Vozza teaches residents at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center and is involved with medical students through the General Internal Medicine Statewide Preceptorship Program in Texas. She also volunteers her time and expertise at the Alpine Compassion Clinic in Longview.  She was recently awarded the Distinguished Faculty of the Year Award for her work with the Residency Program at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Dr. Vozza's guiding philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care in a pleasant, patient-centered environment. She is deeply connected to the East Texas area and hosts a monthly “Walk with a Doc” event at the Paul Boorman Trail, in partnership with the Texas Medical Association. Held during the first Sunday of the month, she shares medical knowledge and exercises with those who attend.

Dr. Vozza is concerned about the quality of today’s healthcare. This is why her practice is involved with a local ACO or Accountable Care Organization. She is helping to make sure that medical practices use their resources to best benefit the patient.  

Dr. Vozza and her staff are involved in the CMS Initiative of Million Hearts. This is a 5 year initiative through Medicare to reduce the number of heart attacks and strokes.  Brookridge began this initiative in 2016.

In her spare time, Dr. Vozza enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children and four dogs.
