About Hicks

Amy Hicks completed her nursing degree at UT Tyler in 2001. She received her Nurse Practitioner Masters Degree from Walden University in August of 2015 She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing. She spent 13 years at Good Shepherd Medical Center working on the medical and telemetry units where she gained valuable experience. Before coming to Brookridge Internal Medicine in October 2017, Amy worked for a couple of years in a private practice neurology office and is a member of the Texas Neurology Society. 

Amy comes from a family of nurses that have inspired her to pursue her nursing career. She has a passion for helping others and a love of people. Her greatest goal is to help individuals reach their greatest health potential. 

Amy graduated from Hallsville High School in Hallsville and is married to her high school sweetheart. She has two awesome children who are very active and attends their activities. She and her family enjoy going to the movies, anything outdoors and they have a great love for animals and their pets. They currently have two dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. She is an active member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
